Granted, I am a self-confessed Francophile, but Paris is the ultimate city for romantic endeavours! Forget all the cliché renditions of Paris being the city of love and take a moment to imagine spending time in an ice cold, grey Paris with your partner. Moody, I know, but the lingering smell of crêpes and whimsical window displays are enough to make you nestle closely and relish in the moment. We were so blessed to wake up every morning to a magnificent view that included not only the Eiffel Tower but also the Louvre. To spend hours in Ladureé eating Tarte Tartin and drinking hot chocolate as if we had all the time in the world was rejuvenation enough.
I’ve fallen madly in love with wintery Paris in all its moody splendour and I can’t wait to return.
